Setting the autolock
Hi, I have just taken delivery of my shiny new (to me) Disco 3 S and would like to set the door locks to automatically lock once the car is moving. Its a Johannesburg thing. However, the manual is less than helpful with this and so I would like to know if it is possible? The steering wheel does not have the remote audio buttons on the steering wheel that feature in said manual.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!
I'm not sure of your exact spec but I appreciate that the really basic specs are not well placed to follow the instructions in the handbook. Settings such as this can also be adjusted with a suitable diagnostic machine. As the price of these machines has fallen dramatically many owners buy a suitable tool for themselves to avoid expensive dealer visits to do really simple stuff. For those that are a distance from specialist dealers these tools are pretty much essential.

If you have the settings option on the instrument pack then the option for speed locking is in there,
sorry just read your post properly, you don't have the button on the steering wheel so that won't be an optionIID PRO

On a HSE it's an option that can be set in the personal settings menu. Press the little button on top of the lights stalk and cycle it till you see it stating that you can change settings. Car must be stopped for this item to be visible.

Mine is an S model and the doors lock as soo as you reach 5 mph, also the wife's key only opens the drivers door first press and the rest of the doors second press of the remote (good for J'berg).
I think if you read the manual it tells you how to set this this.Club Narpy Torch

Profile is now ok!
The photos are welcome as the actual specifications do vary by market and model year.
When stopped can you cycle through the settings menu with the i-button on the end of the stalk and actually see the option displayed?
For those who are posting about how they do it with their steering wheel buttons please pretend that they are not there when trying to help this chap. I've not played with a low spec model for a while and I cannot recall if the radio buttons can be used as a substitute or not. Can anyone confirm?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Hi Robbie,
I can scroll through various options using that button, but I do not get the option to change settings. I have played with various buttons on the radio but they do not seem to offer a solution.
I guess I will need to go to Landy workshop to see if they can do something using the test equipmentDiscovery 3 TDV6 S 2008 auto, Borolo Black
