Swapped relay for New unit and now seems to be Ok (No fan at all with old relay) So will keep my fingers crossed that its not the canbus, a local garage with diagnostics better than mine is going to have a look at the Suspension fault but I think you are right so we will see if he can pinpoint it and effect a cure
Thanks again for the help

Sorry for delay. A New relay sorted the Heater fan problem but car in now for Suspension/handbrake and assorted other faults which as you suggested could be a Canbus problem we shall see! oh for the joy of mechanical systems

The link below relates to a guaranteed broken Canbus wire location; hence if you have any Canbus problem, it is the place to look as it is easy to get at and is probably the source of the problem, or will be for future problems.
In brief, there are three pair of connectors joining cables from the frame to cables on the body. I think there is relative movement there and hence along with road splash, you get deterioration of the conductors leading to the connectors.

I just swapped it with a spare relay in the fuse box until I bought a replacement!
