Hi guys, what do you suggest is best for cleaning floor mats and restoring some of that showroom shine? Thanks, Alan

I assume you mean the ones in the vehicle?

Sonus cockpit detailer works well on them and doesn't leave a slippery mess.

The other thing that I have found works on rubber mats is to jetwash(not too close) and then dry them with a wet vac, seems to keep them dark whereas leaving to dry naturally makes them dull.

I cleaned mine with a jet wash and then when they were dry I rubbed in some of the AutoGlym bumper care (green gel like one) in with a soft cloth. Brought them up like new. Really dark and not slippery like some of the cockpit shine products. Lasted a fair while too. Thumbs Up

Clean the muck off them and when dry use mr sheen and buff it off after. Always done this on rubber mats. Not slippy. I use my sheen for the bumpers and arch covers too. The dash also. Even used it on leather occasionally. Cleaning and derailing products for cars just get too complicated and expensive these days.

Don't, whatever you do use baby oil........

I use this on aluminium kitchen goods (hob, splash back, fridge, etc) as brings them up like new.

This then progressed to wiping the Matt paint finish of my motorbike and by default the 'damp' cloth over the rubber hoses and bits and bobs just as a 'Once over'.

My lad spotted this so on doing a 'full valet' of my then D3 he did all the three row rubber mats, boot liner, pedal rubbers, etc.

First impression was 'wow, look at that shine'. That was until I climbed in and nearly broke my neck as my foot slipped like it was on ice Laughing
