Agree with Lifted Disco
I check mine daily (I know Rolling Eyes ) every morning when cold.
OK, engine isn't warm and it is parked on a steep drive, but it is consistent which is the important thing.

When does the "Oil level critically low" message actually appear?

I was looking at one MY2012 with 134ths km on the clock. No warnings (except low battery in the smart key). After the test drive I was checking oil level and I was shocked. The pluuged IIDtool to see further details and it was showing 2.5 litres of oil.

Seems that the oil service is overdue as well. Probably not a good deal anymore.

United Kingdom 2015 LR4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Lux Auto Loire BlueLR4

2015 D4 HSE Lux registered in May and 9k miles consisting of mainly one 200 mile round motorway trip weekly - I have added 1L of oil on each of two occasions and the level indicated on the dashboard display is only above normal/half.
