Indeed. The other alternative is finding one of those DRL wiring harnesses that you run straight from the battery. It picks up when the car is turned on.Disco 4 SDV6 HSE with Compomotives, BFG 265/65R18s, BigCountry drawer system, Melvill & Moon covers, NL 52L fridge, FR Spare Wheel Carrier, FR Roof Rack, Tenco RTT, FR 50" LED Bar, dual spots, Lift Rods, Mantec Snorkel, C-TEK Dual batt system, 270 Ostrichwing, Maxtrax, Icom ID-5100, Icom ID-51 as secondary, IIDtool BT

Otherwise Retrofit LEDs into the same location as the fairly lights and run them as DRLs with a DRL wiring kit and the Fairly lights tucked away.
When I did my DRL conversion on my 2007 Audi TT, I was told the DRLs are not compatible............ They were and I was happy Disco 4 SDV6 HSE with Compomotives, BFG 265/65R18s, BigCountry drawer system, Melvill & Moon covers, NL 52L fridge, FR Spare Wheel Carrier, FR Roof Rack, Tenco RTT, FR 50" LED Bar, dual spots, Lift Rods, Mantec Snorkel, C-TEK Dual batt system, 270 Ostrichwing, Maxtrax, Icom ID-5100, Icom ID-51 as secondary, IIDtool BT

lol, ok so been out there and there is no feed to PIN 14.
Looking at RH connector - There is however a red wire to PIN 4 and a red/orange to PIN 2
PIN 2 is it seems the power feed to fairy lights
PIN 4 looks like a main power from ignition
So, my thinking is that I remove PIN 2 and put a bridge in from PIN 4 into it. That way I am not creating a potential for backload into the main power feed from the ignition.
Sound like a plan?
So how do I remove pins, and where do I get new pins to create my bridge?
Not had much chance to give this any thought but on mine (LHS standard Fairy Xenon):
So it appears that the wire on pin 4 has no corresponding pin on the socket, so it is free to be moved anywhere on the plug you like, no bridge required.
Have you double-checked that 4 has an ignition switched 12v? If it really does then this would be moments of a job to unlock the plug, withdraw pin 2 and replace it with the wire from pin 4 - no new parts required. But from failing memory I didn't think pin 4 had switched 12v so you will need to check it; I thought it was for the cornering lamp.

Robbie, looking at the diagrams pin 4 is indeed used for the cornering lamp and is not an ignition switched live. But parallax was talking about pin 14 not pin 4
We were hoping that pin 14 might be there with associated wiring (its ign switched live for the AFS motors) in a car that didn't have AFS.
I haven't looked but parallax has and there isn't anything at pin 14 on his car anyway.

Well I quoted exactly what he typed in my reply and he did mention pin 4 three times and used the appropriate wire colour to go with it. I also took pictures of the harness and connectors so there should be no confusion as to the configuration of pin 14.
Ah well.
