Judder with gentle acceleration
My D3 is a manual
The judder - is almost like a misfire and only occurs when the engine is warm, when applying power gently. If you plant the accelerator there is no judder and acceleration is brisk!
The judder carries on as the revs and speed increases.
The judder is there from 1500rpm, but becomes most noticeable just less than 2000rpm upwards
It does this in all gears, but is most noticeable in third + fourth
If I back off the accelerator the judder goes away – I would also say the engine is not as responsive under partial acceleration.
There is also a whine which I guess is the fuel pump belt (as I didn’t have this changed at 95k – just the timing belt).
There were no fault codes stored and none occurred when the LR engineer and I went for a drive for me to show him the problem. All the injectors appeared to be working normal, no fuel pressure issues. The entire engine sensor where reading correctly – even when the fault occurred.
In October it had a new clutch and DMF, but has been OK for 6weeks.
The judder I am sure has only occurred since the D3 was serviced a few weeks ago.
It is going into the Land Rover Specialist tomorrow, but with no fault codes to go they have no idea where to start..!
Ian..so what can I fiddle with today that ain't broken ...?

had this on mine and after months of investigation i fount the weights under the rear bumpers were not free to move. towing electrics where routed incorrectly causing the weight on the lh side to not swing free.
check under the rear bumper you should have a large weight on each side of the car, these should swing freely, if not this may be the problem. sorted mine.

I shall have a look see in the morning.
It would be nice if it was, but I think because it only does it once the engine starts to get warm that it may be something else.

My symtoms were the same as yours , I couldnt use the cruise control as this made it much worse, also if you hit a slight incline this also made it bad and as you said it almost felt like a judder and if you booted it , the sesation would stop. I nearly got rid of the car because of it.
Really hope you get it sorted.'Just because you're breathing doesn't mean you're alive'

So having parted with some more money ..
both egr valves are now blanked
.. as soon as it gets warm the judder is back.
The whine that I thought was the fuel pump belt apparently is a bearing in one of the pulleys at the front where the serpentine belt is for the alternator, air conditioning etc .. which is the next thing they want to change just in case ..!!
This will be followed by testing all the injectors.
Still looking for idea’s anyone!..so what can I fiddle with today that ain't broken ...?

No fault codes and the fault only occurs when the vehicle is at 'normal' running temp.
The throttle pedal was one of the things suggested but seems ok.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Why only when the vehicle gets warm - tis is the bit I can't get my head round.
All perfectly OK until the temp guarge needle approaches the ' > ' simble towards the bottom of the temp guage.
I am open to any suggestions as at the moment I am banging my head at a brick wall

To me, looks like an air intake on fuel circuit, or a problem with the fuel filter!Marco.
