Anyone found out where this chap is yet? I'm heading to France Tuesday morning and happy to transport parts or tools if he's near where I'm going. Which is Saint Jean de mont by the way. I don't have a code reader unfortunately though.

I stop the car and restart, all clear, complete my journey of about 20 miles. Two days later the same happens, stop restart, all ok, but happens again within a mile ....
I had the exact same list of alarms on mine a couple of months ago, in my case the fault codes pointed to the rear left wheel speed sensor, the actual culprit turned out to be a chafed wire (from the sensor) in the loom in the front left wheelarch.Clive

Hi guys, sorry been out of touch for a couple of days, long story but basically insurance will repatriate car but not caravan, so flew back to uk to borrow mates d4, and have now got van back to Calais ready for crossing in the morning. Would you believe car could take 3 weeks to repat? Many thanks for the offers of help, car is in la Rochelle by the way. I suspect chafed wire, but a mate of a mate says failing clutch causes similar issues? Once again many many thanks for your input. David.

So I'm back in the UK, waiting for car to arrive in the next few weeks!
Now trying to decide how best to recompense my mate who lent me his D4 to do an 1100 mile round trip to collect my caravan. What's fair do you think? He says buy him a drink, I was thinking more like £200 vouchers for somewhere?
David.

WOW - what a great friend to have.
I guess it depends on your relationship really - it sounds really strong and he may well be very embarrasssed if you go too far. After all, he wouldn't have lent it to you if he thought it was a burden.
Probably better to buy him a nice bottle of highland essence and remember that you owe him one big time.
I presume you returned said beasty with the tank brimming over

So an offer of a night with your wife would be excessive?
Perhaps I appreciate my D4 too much but it great to have mates that are so willing to help.

Hi all,
So the car has finally arrived from France today, delivered to my house! Have done a lot of research now, mostly on this site, and have initially changed the brake pedal switch just now, but the same faults occur almost immediately. Is it really worth changing the bulbs as well? I think it may now turn out turn to be the steering angle sensor, but does this need re calibration once fitted with some specialist kit?

If it has been away a conditioning charge is the starting point. Diagnostics with a tired battery can be frustrating and pointless.
