my14 throaty exhaust
Hello - we've a new disco that does 'occasionally' sound a bit throaty? Just wondering if any other D4 owners have noticed anything similar? It could be days between occurrences and then suddenly it's turned into a sports car for bit?
thanks

Spoke to LR assist about this and they said DPF regen, just part of the process, if you do lots of short journeys it will happen more often just try to make sure if you hear it you try to let it complete the cycle!

Hello
Have noticed similiar with ours if left idling for a bit. My research told me it was the second turbo cycling after so many minutes idling.
Cheers

I had thought the same having had both pre and post 14MY D4's, thinking is that it's the interaction of stop start and DPF regen which results in a couple of scenarios where the regen is actioned at less than ideal timing and thus can be more noticeable.

What would be classed as a short journey? It happens on mine quite regularly, shortest trip would be about 11 miles.
