I'm a newbie, so apologies if this is in the wrong place...
I have a 2007 Discovery which is due its 84 month Service. I understand that this is a "biggie" as it includes timing belts...
I have been quoted £950 for this service by a local 4x4 Garage (NOT a Land Rover Garage) but this seems a bit steep? I live in Worcester so if anyone knows any Garages let me know and I'll give them a try!
Thanks, Ade.

Welcome Pudsi
You need to search the forum, there are a number of threads here on this topic.
It may be sensible to change the oil pump whilst doing the 105k / 7 year service.

Thanks to everyone who has sent me PM's - I REALLY appreciate. I cannot reply personally as the forum will not let me as I have not made 3 posts yet.
It is clear that the garage who quoted me £950+ (for non standard LR parts) were ripping me off....!
Thanks!
Ade.

the complete kit is not cheap and I changed idlers both belts and if your not a diyer its gonna cost a bit as its a number of hours work but not difficult, the oil pump on your model 07 and newer is a whole different ball game as if one of the bolts is over torqued it can destroy the engine from the housing failing so a landrover knowledeable
person should know this and a back street garage will only do the basic and not change the oil pumps housing which is a problem on your model year.
a good set of spanners wrenches and a spanner for removing the fan is the first hurdle to overcome.i would find out if main dealer price as that seems the same price as main dealer.
