The car has done 41000. Last service was at 30000 so next due at 45000. Surviving rear pads are at 30% left, so due for replacement soon. Half of one pad at -1% left!
Pete is now looking at it.

Hi all,
Just wanted to comment on this, I did pick this up this morning and have been dealing with this.
Please note that any concerns are dealt with on a case by case basis and take into account many factors. Often we do rely on information and evidence provided by dealerships in order to make a decision on concerns that arise.
Therefore, I am more than happy as always to look into situations like this where you feel the situation has not been handled correctly or the decision made was not the correct one. I cannot guarantee that I will be able to change the outcome, but do feel it is important that cases are investigated fully and all factors taken into account.
This situation has now been resolved.
Many thanks,
Pete

Don't under estimate Pete. He'll be in touch.
Best bit of advice here.
As Pete has explained, after a long look at the situation, it has been resolved. Can't tell you how happy I am! The dealer was also excellent (as ever), and with the car now back in my hands after a full in-and-out valet, the love is well and truly back.
Furthermore, the love has been magnified after handing back the bouncy squashed thing with the odd steering and Mondeo engine. It always helps show how good the D4 is when you have something else for a bit.
Thank you, Pete!

Glad you got it sorted. Pete's positive interaction with the forum is a great example of how to build strong Brand equity. Often the best things are the simplest.

I should of got pete involved with my rear brakes. EPB shoes replaced under warranty last August adjusted badly by dealer and cooked the disc and shoes. I actually felt guilty about asking pete to step in again to sort out another fault on my 60k mint d4 so paid out of my own pocket. These vehicles produce so many faults they will be come a total joke. I feel an auto trader moment coming on before anything else fails 5 years before it should.D4
