Easy to fit and I prefer them to the usual steps.

These were £110 just before Xmas
They are Bearmach make, 75mm side steps number BA 4522
From top gear trading ltd also known as 4x4 tyres or 4x4 parts both .co.uk
Hope that's of some help.
Also with these you don't need to cut the cills to fit them,
But be carefull not to over tighten the l shaped bolts that go into the chassis

Fitting
Alan,
I've found these elsewhere (4 x 4 Tyres don't do parts anymore!). However, information on them is rather wooly. How do these fit to the car- is it using the same threaded attachment points and brackets that you would expect to fit with the side steps?

I got these stainless ones from Rimmer Bros - good for the money and I think look nice with the plastic inserts/steps. Take my 16 St. standing on them .... the L shaped bolts that hook into holes in the chassis seem a bit weak, one I'm sure is on the verge of shearing but there's a few of us hoping for some spares under group buy. Don't overtighten as per previous post. Easy enough to fit once you find the right holes to mount the brackets, I do worry that they're easy to take off so will look for security fixings.
Hope this helps - Dave

Thanks Dave.
How long have yours been on? Sounds good although just slightly concerned about the weak point of attachment. Is it the bolt you're concerned may shear as opposed to the panel work that it attaches to!!?

They've been on over a year with no issues but when I fitted them, one bolt just felt like the weld loosened slightly with that last 1/8th of a turn I shouldn't have done - it has stayed put mind you. The bolts are like a length of stud with a flat plate welded at 90 degrees (L shape) the flat tab slots into a hole in the chassis section, see this link.....
the pics on the link look like stronger bolts than come with the steps.

Well I have recently fitted the OEM style ones.
They were £129.99 delivered from the bay of E. I am very happy with the result. I also put front Mud Flaps on and now I have very little MUD spraying up the side of the car.
Edit: They install using the OEM holes pre-drilled and tapped that are already there on the chassis. You do have to cut the Plastic sill covers (takes about 25mins each side) with a junior type hacksaw.
I do like the ones that Alan B has fitted to his Land Rover Discovery 3 (2006) 2.7 TDV6 HSE Auto

These fit very easily with the brackets supplied and as said the only down side is the L shaped bolts. But look in the group buy for stronger ones.
Don't over tighten them as I managed to snap one. But on the other side I've had no problem with the originals
The good thing with these is there is NO cutting of any plastic trim involved, you can also have them further out than mine are.
Another bonus is the free crawling/lying on protector shown in the pic
Or in other words the BIG box they come in

The genuine LR fell apart after nine years of neglect and after removing the tread plates I fitted these aftermarket steps. There were no mods or adjustments to make. I fitted them directly to the previously fitted original LR brackets which were still in good condition.
I ordered at 11.00 one day and they were delivered by 10.00 the next

Did anyone find a better solution t the T-Bolts ? Just installed mine and snapped one. The others felt very bendy at the point I bottled it and stopped tightening them up !Rimini red TDV6 BAS mapping and remote FBH. EGR blanked. Hawkeye just in case. TSL and Actevo.
