I fitted a T-Max to my D4 last week, which had previously been fitted to my D2. would have taken about 30mins if it wasn't for trying to get the wires through the grommet. If you need a hand (or even just some questions) let me know, I'm not a million miles away.
My controller is currently blu-tacked to the driver's window demist vent, pendiing me fabbing up some kind of suitable bracket. I have a Waeco wireless fridge controller too so want to make something to handle both.

Picked the kit up today not had time for a good look but all looks well. You get 3m of +ve and 1m of -ve so hopefully should fit ok
Just been asked by SWMBO what my plans are for the weekend. After a lengthy discussion we decided it was best we go looking at bathroom suite
Next job is fitting a fuse box in the back so just need to find a route through the car.
Will post photos when fitted.

The route I took was internally along the door sill to the back. Its only covered by plastic trim. It worked a treat.

All done.
A few photos of the install.
VSR mounted in second battery compartment.
Battery in position.
Connections to 2nd battery
Cable routed round to main battery through supplied tubing and secured with sticky pads and zip ties.
And connections to main battery
Straight forward to fit took me a couple of hours probably. Stud for -ve to 2nd battery was a bit of a pain to get to and I dropped a crimp down the somewhere. Will try a fish it out at some point if I can.
Had to butcher a battery clampdown clamp to secure it but will get a proper one soon.

Hi guys,
I've got the Tmax system ready to install, just waiting on the battery and the clamp. Anyone else whose got this system, where did you mount the metal solenoid relay part.
I've not looked properly but just to give me a heads up would be great.300TDI Toy... Now gone

just a quick question, I have a 2008 D3 2.7T diesel. for the isolator, what kind of amperage should I be looking for? does the following isolator do the job?

I have a T-Max split charge System. The second battery is opposite of the original one in the box. The control unit is located next to the steering wheel.
I have a "power spply unit" under the drivers seat. The big soccet is for my external compressor, the free spaces in the fuse box are for any electrical connections. When we travel, we take out the rear seats and fit some travel Fittings and a Radio unit. They can be connected to this free soccets.
