Yes that voltage sensitive relay is good.
However it is only part of the entire split charge system. You need auto resetting circuit breakers (or fuses if you want to go cheap), one between the batteries (together with the VSR), and one heading out of the AUX battery. Then there's the 16mm2 power cables, terminals and soldering skills, anderson connectors if desired to physically isolate batteries (ala traxide), battery terminal clamps. That's all I think, but you won't have any monitoring etc that you get with the TMAX kit.

Yeah understand about the rest of the "kit". Just need to price it all up and see how it stacks up to the TMAX

I think 10mm2 is too little, I had 35mm2 on my set up.
I think the minimum I would go with is 16mm2 but bigger is better.

Have a look in my gallery for mounting the TMax display. I positioned mine on a Brodit clip on the right hand side of the stereo panel as you look at.

Looks good. The reason I went for T-Max was because i can link the batteries with the press of a button.

I use a SmartGauge meter for precise readings, they are expensive £275 but well worth the moneyðŸ‘

I finished fitting my National luna split charge kit today. It won't win any awards; but it is working.
Like you say Andy the routing is the fun part. D3 HSE TDV6 Auto. Bonatti Grey.
Mods:
V8 Brake upgrade (front Only), Full height Luggage guard, Rubber mats all round, RLD spare wheel protector, Terra Firma Steering and Transmission guard, Smoooooth Nappa steering wheel, Clock on dash and Reverse home lights. National Luna split charge system, front and rear light guards, Danhag GSM (on loan), JE stage 1 remap... Zero money
