I wondered that too....but then decided the angle of the rear view mirror was set up for a RHD "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool,than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

I think it is the steering wheel, but where it's been shunted across 2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

RHD. What might appear to be a steering wheel on the left is actually a crack in the windscreen. In my former life, it wouldn't be the first time that I'd gone to something like that where fence rails/lamp-posts etc had gone straight through the occupants. It certainly looks like someone had a very lucky escape. I hope so.
