Have a look at the 3rd picture: FV 12042 baffle plate
and 10th picture baffle plate mounted towards the seal.
The plate fixes the seal at its distance bush in place.
Without the plate the hub might come into contact with the brake plate.
Please have a look at the pdf: section through the hub

Ye i saw that thanks I managed to get another one made up today for me so we are all good
Hubs have been top coated in black and then hubs are fitted Had a test fit of the new shoes and they need slightly modifying but hopefully I can get them to fit. Will have to wait though till after holiday as am now busy packing and getting excited
Here are a few pics from today though: (Sorry about the dark ones it got dark to quickly)
Got some paint on two coats of primer, red first then grey. I was concentrating on the axel and hubs as I wanted to get that done before attempting to put the new shoes on (this is why it looks a bit patch workish)
Got a new baffel plate made up too for the side that was missing one
I got the brake cylinders on and refurbished so they are looking lovely especially with my new dirt grommets
Tomorrow all i will do it but the drum on and the hub caps to keep dirt out while I am away but that will be it till the end of April as I am off State Side 07 Java Black TD V6 D3, EGRs Blanked, Tow bar, Full dog guard & divider, LED Spots , DRLs, GG ATs, RLD Sump guard, RLD Spare Wheel Protector, D4 LED Rear Lights, Limo tints on boot and Midnight tint on rear windows, Kenwood screen with Garmin nav, Rear cameras, D4 Steering wheel with flappy paddles, T-max split charge system, Tree sliders, Prospeed roof rack & Ladder, Alisport fast road inter cooler,

Well as I am going away in the morning I decided to tidy up a bit before I left. I put the hub caps on and the brake drums. Also placed my spacers on, so not to loose them and check the fitting
So I will see what it looks like when I get back and hopefully get the chassis finished when I return See you in two and bit weeks 07 Java Black TD V6 D3, EGRs Blanked, Tow bar, Full dog guard & divider, LED Spots , DRLs, GG ATs, RLD Sump guard, RLD Spare Wheel Protector, D4 LED Rear Lights, Limo tints on boot and Midnight tint on rear windows, Kenwood screen with Garmin nav, Rear cameras, D4 Steering wheel with flappy paddles, T-max split charge system, Tree sliders, Prospeed roof rack & Ladder, Alisport fast road inter cooler,

Hi guys and gals, I am sat in Vegas Airport with my wallet a lot lighter (and not just because Dunc keeps selling me stuff )
Hopefully I can make some good headway this week as SWMBO is back to work and away for the rest of the week. And hopefully I won't be going back to work for a few weeks
The plan is to adapt the new brake shoes I bought as they are slightly too long but are the right diameter so should be simple to do. Then I can finally assemble the hubs for the final time and get it all painted up and wheels on
She will hopefully be going for her surgery this week or next too so will keep all updated on that and I will take some pictures for sure
One question though can someone tell me what torque I need to do the wheel nuts to on the trailer? I am using 5-spoke 7" Defender steel wheels if that makes any difference? I need to do original nuts to hold the spacers and the new nuts to hold the wheels are they the same torque?
Will update later in the week with progress, now I have a flight to catch but don't want to go back to the real world 07 Java Black TD V6 D3, EGRs Blanked, Tow bar, Full dog guard & divider, LED Spots , DRLs, GG ATs, RLD Sump guard, RLD Spare Wheel Protector, D4 LED Rear Lights, Limo tints on boot and Midnight tint on rear windows, Kenwood screen with Garmin nav, Rear cameras, D4 Steering wheel with flappy paddles, T-max split charge system, Tree sliders, Prospeed roof rack & Ladder, Alisport fast road inter cooler,

Well rather a productive day today
Red:
Grey:
Black:
Then I had a test fit of the defender lights I purchased of Duncan Perfect fit so I rubbed back primed and painted the light brackets
I can not decide if I should go clear lens and coloured bulbs or clear bulbs and coloured lens?
Thoughts?07 Java Black TD V6 D3, EGRs Blanked, Tow bar, Full dog guard & divider, LED Spots , DRLs, GG ATs, RLD Sump guard, RLD Spare Wheel Protector, D4 LED Rear Lights, Limo tints on boot and Midnight tint on rear windows, Kenwood screen with Garmin nav, Rear cameras, D4 Steering wheel with flappy paddles, T-max split charge system, Tree sliders, Prospeed roof rack & Ladder, Alisport fast road inter cooler,

Personally I'd go for correct coloured lense choice. Clear lenses on a trailer would be open season for some idiot to ar$e end you and claim they couldn't work out which were indicators and which were brake lights. Following some trailers (and some cars nowerdays) you struggle to see indicators.
Just my 2 pence worth...
