+1 for Auto, did borrow a mates mask, but just couldn't see my hands, so got an auto and they are perfect
Trial an error Simon, practise with scrap first.....I didn't do enough practise, so my 2nd 4 he stint was so much better than the first welding stint
I think I'm going to have spare box section, won't know for sure for a few weeks though, but if you can wait mate Iggy/Ieuan

So it went to the chop shop on Monday and popped into have a look at it today
Looks good, bit scary though. Should be done by tomorrow so am going to pop back in the morning. He had only managed to start this morning due to other things but his plan looks awesome

I am afraid due to being busy today and my welder getting in the groove I was in able to get step by step stuff. However I will get some more pics tomorrow and take very detailed shots for you and explain all (I hope).
The hardest part he had was removing the old front side marker light brackets, he said they were a due to not being able to get any tools in. But basically he is making up an extension with a drop in it. He is making it out of 50mm box section and then clad in 3mm plate. I will hopefully be able to show you a pic of that tomorrow.
I will explain as much as I can with photos tomorrow, even though it will prob be together, sorry

Arlo I know you really can not wait so I have got these quick snaps for you before the final welding up today
As you can see it is made from 40mm box section to match the channel and will be clad in 3mm steel to match the sizes up
Really happy at the moment and looks like a beast!
