Air release noise

The noise that the air makes when the car levels or lowers has just got very loud on my car. Has anyone had this and know what the reason is?

Compressor seems to be working fine as it was new only 8 months ago.

It's always had the noise but got very loud all of a sudden, so there must be a reason for becoming loud. It's made me jump when it went off

On more than one occasion mine has done it as the ex SWMBO has walked up the drive ( I think these cars are alive ) the first time it did it it made her jump Thumbs Up I told her it was the car letting her know that she won't be riding in it Whistle You're not afraid of the dark are you ?
