Some questions that have probably been asked before! |
|
I have done a search and can't seem to find the definitive answer.
I am looking for a Disco 3 within a £10k budget. It's going to be used for green lanes and going further afield in search of off road fun. Ie Morocco and Russia to name a couple.
I will be buying a winch, snorkel and some off road tyres for it eventually but was wondering what spec Disco to go for.
I would like the Sat Nav, heated seats and Harmon Kardon stereo. Also what is best, auto or manual?
Thanks for your time.

Well, you will be looking for high spec xs or se or hse to get all those as standard.
For 10k it will be a 54 or 55 plate I would guess with pretty high mileage.
My opinion is manual as that what I have but no doubt others will differ
Good luck
D3 57 xs Stornaway grey
D2 02 commercial silver gone but a great servant and won't be forgotten

My S has all those but they were specified at purchase from new. You may be lucky.

Personally I think it would be good if you could stretch to a bit more money and get a later plated XS, with high spec and high miles, but correctly maintained.
This is what happened to me by chance and I am extremely happy with a two-year-newer-than-what- I-was-looking-at-but-higher-mileage (bought at 111k) XS.
I'd go for manual too, but they may be rarer.
