Creaky suspension

Me again Confused

The rear suspension creaks like a rusty old army bed constantly.

I recently had the car checked and while the front wishbones, roll bar bushes etc needed changing the rear ones seemed ok.

The car looks like it has been used off road (as it should be!) and possibly to launch boats as the rear end is quite rusty but solid underneath.

I was thinking of having it cleaned and waxoyled but dont want o if I need to change the rear bushes or do any work there.

Is it likely to be bushes or will cleaning and some lovely lube do the job?

Cheers
Pete

Sounds like bushes to me.......... most likely lower bush to hub carrier.....

Just did mine because of that!!!

Get underneath whilst someone "wiggles the car"

Good luck

Yep, I got my rear lower bushes done a couple of weeks ago, cured the creaking. Worth doing the top ones while you at it! Thumbs Up

Rear hub bushes are a 2 hour a side job with a decent bush press.

Thanks chaps Thumbs Up

I was hoping it wasnt the rear bushes as the garage which did the wishbones and roll bar bushes etc said the were ok but didnt know what was causing the squeaking. I'm beginning to think that I went to wrong garage.

Tyres are the most pressing job so I will get those and then do the rear bushes and once they are done I will get the whole thing cleaned and waxoyled I think.

I will make my Disco well again lol
