New A-Pillar Exterior Trim
I've received, and fitted, new external trim to the A-Pillars.
The new ones have a different rubber moulding at the bottom which is clearly longer than the original, and the clips are much improved with far more felt to keep water out.
Photo's of old and new, side by side, attached.

£36 inc VAT each side.
I also bought a set of new clips DHB500400 which I didn't need as the new trim came with clips attached.
FYI - The DHB500400 kit comes with some patches which can be applied over the bottom locating hole in each A-Pillar to also stop water ingress.
These patches date back to a very old technical service bulletin LA501-007 which I found was created to fix the problem of water ingress on the earliest trims.

So the patches only come with the kit and not with the A pillar replacements

Yep, new trim does not include the patches.
LR sell the patches as part number BNP3996 if you do want to blank the bottom hole.
Strangely LR would only quote for the patches as a pack of 4.
So that'll be one for each of the car's four A-Pillars ?
