GOOD NEWS!
Changing the rear brake bulbs worked! All is back to normal on the dashboard! Terrain Response working as it should, lights on or off!  
Actually, I was lucky... I couldn't get the light guard off the left light, so could only change the right one! (Someone has threaded the screws holding the guard on... A job for another day!)
Thanks again for the advice guys... I feared the worst!
Do any of you think its worth popping into a garage to get the faults logged on the system cleared?

From memory the bulbs don't log any fault codes
