Essendo un trattamento dell'olio, il cat non ne dovrebbe risentire, a meno che il motore non vada ad olio Laughing .
Altro discorso è togliere il cat perchè "attappato"; è una cosa che vorrei fare ma mi spaventa l'idea di dover svitare i bulloni intorno al turbo che saranno ormai saldati, vista l'età ed i Km.. Landy lover

a proposito di olio...

mi accingevo a comprarne un po' in vista del prossimo tagliando, il primo DIY, e mi sono imbattuto in questa "simpatica" Confused disinformazione.

Land Rover consiglia:



La specifica WSS-M2C913-B per Castrol dovrebbe corrispondere al Magnatec A1:

Se invece si va sul sito della Castrol e tramite il loro tool (http://magnatec.castrol.com/it/per-scegliere-lolio-giusto.html) cerchi l'olio adatto al disco ti propone l'A5 che ha specifiche WSS-M2C-913-C e WSS-M2C-913-D ma non la "B" Confused

a chi credere?

Visto che il sito è sicuramente più aggiornato rispetto al mio libretto LR risalente al 2008, voto per Castrol...

Anche io mi ero posto più volte il problema tra magnatec ed edge...tanto che una volta mandai una mail direttamente a castrol. Loro mi risposero che edge era un gradino sopra e che volendo investire di più era il prodotto migliore. Comunque sul tool castrol non farei troppo affidamento perchè ad esempio sul sito uk consigliano l'A1, qualche mese fa l'edge....Secondo me dietro c'è anche una spinta commerciale non indifferente.
Personalmente uso l'Edge 5w30 da ormai 3 cambi di olio (45K KM) e al momento non ho riscontrato nessun tipo di problema.

Sull'Edge non è proprio citata la WSS etc etc...
Vi fidate anche se non ha le specifiche dichiarate dalla casa o dalla Castrol per il nostro motore? Question

Sapete che differenza c'è tra l'EDGE normale e quello Professional?

Che possa occludere i condotti mi sembra semplicemente una sciocchezza. Qualcuno ha mai postato una singola foto di questo problema?
Io ho esperienza diretta e seguo un procedimento specifico per l'applicazione:
- Cambio olio e filtro
- Scaldare il motore con 10-15 km di percorrenza reale
- Aggiungere il trattamento CPL
- Uscire e percorrere altri 30 Km per far depositare uniformenente CPL sulle parti.

Mai avuto un problema.
Per il catalizzatore? Se hai le fasce andate non serve certo l'additivo ad intasarlo, basta l'olio motore. marcap599

Sono andato a spulciare le fatture.

LR ha usato il Castrol Edge Professional C1 5W-30 con specifica Ford WSS-M2C934-B

Costo in fattura ca 25€\Lt.
Ne ho preso un po' sulla baia dalla Germania a poco più di 10\Lt Whistle

Vista la cifra secondo me non vale la pena avere pensieri, non tanto per il tappo ma per la guarnizione inclusa Thumbs Up

Per il mio tagliando DIY ho appena preso:

Tappo, filtro antipolline, filtro carburante, filtro olio.
Tutto originale in concessionaria LR per 120euro

8 Lt di Edge (1lt lo tengo di scorta per eventuali rabbocchi) 100€

Filtro Aria K&N, il prezzo lo sapete...


Con quello che ho risparmiato rispetto a portarla in conce mi sono comprato:
Lettino per sdraiarsi sotto l'auto
2 cavalletti Beta da 3ton
Tanica di recupero olio esausto da 12 lt
set di bussole e cricchetto sempre della Beta.

Probabimente comprando tutta sta roba alla fine sono andato a pari ma almeno mi sono fatto un po' di attrezzatura che mi resta Mr. Green

scelta olio

Sono alla ricerca dell'olio castrol prof 5-30 con la specifica c1 ma anche sulla baia niente...trovo solo il 5-30 e 5-30 pro sempre della castrol edge ma il c3.Stavo pensando di arrendermi e mettere uno di questi ultimi,che dite? o insisto nella ricerca?Personalmente non credo ci siano differenze che possano compromettere il motore,ma voi che siete piu esperti cosa ne pensate?Ma soprattutto usate tutti il catrol pro c1 5-30?
