Did the turbo cleaner not do any good at all, prior to changing the item? I have used "Revive" on D3's with much success, and that is a lot cheaper and quicker when you are dealing with a "short hop" car.

As far as the turbo fitting went, did the personnel check the induction system for leaks and blockages at the same time? Many more issues with the TDV6 airpath are due to splits/tears/delaminations of hoses than anything else.

What new faults are now thrown back up - the same ones (P138E , P132A) that you had before? If you have a MAF related fault, it makes more sense to start with the basics (leaks, blockages, raw sensor signals) than go for the expensive bits. As stated above, there are plenty of people who can help you with this one on the forum.

Ok guys I asked for advice and noted it thank you and no the brakes have nothing to do with my problem

I do possess a reasonable chain of thought and if like you advised I blanked my egr valves my self ,which I might add I have no time or tools to carry this operation out on this car then taking the car back after turbo not fixing the prob would just point the finger in my direction the ecu does not store this special progs off fault so finding it is now the garages problem not mine

If however I go around poking at things then the garage could effectively not offer to put it right

The turbo cleaner may well have worked as fitting a new rangy sport turbo has not fixed my issue I would however recommend using a fuel treatment at least once or twice a year as turbo diesels don't like short journeys

I am not convinced that you actually want to hear anything from the forum membership, but instead are using it as a means to voice your frustrations. Thus far two perfectly sensible suggestions (which would have saved you between £1500 and £2000) have been disregarded in favour of following the advice of a stealership, sorry dealership.

Assuming you are prepared to step outside the expensive 'comfort zone' of the dealership if they continue to not be able to resolve your problem, then it might be worth giving Flack a PM. You're in West Yorkshire and he's based Preston area - less than an hour away. He comes very highly recommended by many on the forum.

For anyone else reading this thread please blank EGRs where possible, unstick the turbo actuator with WD40 & a bit of wiggling and then re-grease with hi-temp. For more random engine faults, especially when the pedals are involved, check brake bulbs and brake switches and consider replacing them as part of your diagnostics as they are cheap. Only have major replacement parts fitted when diagnostics are complete.

Ok people

This is my final statement

I am not using this forum for the purpose you might imply

But trying to ascertain a possible cure
I do take on board what your other members have proposed and present them in a manner fitting for discussion at the dealers
I personally do not wish to spend all my spare time fixing a car that should be dealer fixable after all this forum is full of people not quite as fortunate as myself to be able to afford a dealer to fix my problems

The dealer is the garage that sold me the vehicle and as a four x four dealer should be able to rectify it ? After all if your computer stops working you take it back to PC world etc... To have it fixed unless you have the required skills to do otherwise or the inclination to go at it with a screw driver and pliers

I will however when this problem is fixed post the effective cure so others can question dealers responses to faults

I also own a seat and guess what when it goes wrong the dealer fixes it ! with a slight smile you do however have to question why a site such as this does indeed exist not just for this product but for many more new products It would not exist if the product did not fail or had product support at dealer level to rectify faults

Ergo back to my original statement

Please don't take offence at my ramblings

Yours humbly

Turbo problems

Hi all quick update

Got new turbo fitted and back from dealers woohoo new tyres etc.... Head off to alps for ski week yeah
Just south of Reims guess what special progs off engine management fault

I had to laugh don't know why but just did when in limp home mode clutch in let revs drop and hey presto power back on pain in knock but hey oh until u going uphill on my way home 75mph fast traffic behind pull into inside lane then wham nothing except 30ton truck closing fast he wasn't impressed we just shut our eyes and hoped for the best after sitting at side of road for 5mins everything back to normal to say I'm bemused is an understatement cause only happened a few times back home back to dealers for another turbo got it back last Friday late afternoon got home and took it straight back next morning white smoke ?

Result the second turbo had collapsed internally so now awaiting the third turbo

If patience is indeed a virtue then I must be very virtuos

Hope this entertained you as much as my Censored taking mates at work

What a bizarre thread.
You ask for advice, receive it, take no notice, spend a load of cash replacing parts and you're still having problems. Rolling Eyes

You then state that your car should be dealer fixable yet you still post on here asking for advice despite stating you've made your last post and you wonder why your work mates are taking the Censored ?
If this lot on here start ripping in to you, your work mates will seem like pussycats and from where I'm viewing this thread from, you're leaving yourself wide open to a full on Censored take.. Rolling Eyes

Just out of interest, aren't they the wrong size and rating tyres? Shouldn't they be 255x60x18?

They should be 255/60R18 on a D3. 55 profile were fitted to RRS

Did you have all 4 fitted?
