hdc fault system

Hi guys I'm new to this site and by no means any sort of mechanic so please keep things plain and easy for me to understand.
I drive an 06 discovery 2.7 diesel auto and this morning all the warning lights came on : HDC fault system not available, special programmes not available, lowered suspension and park brake fault.
The car is driving fine but upon checking i noticed 1 brake light bulb not working so i have replaced both but still all the above warnings are bleeping up.
As a dad of four boys and just after christmas pennies are tight so i don't really want to take it into the dealer where i no they will charge me the earth, so I'm here asking for help especially if it is as simple say as getting a new battery [ my friend who drives RR sport said it may be that ]
Can any one give me advise and help many thanks Jon.

If the lights all go out after starting the engine then I suspect your RRS-owning friend is correct. These cold mornings and the power-hungry D3 are harsh on batteries.

Has your car been sat for a few days? Is it the original battery? Does everything work once the engine is running?

Where in Herts are you?

many thanks to those that helped me , i got the mrs to phone the RAC and blag it for a mechanic to check the car, his diagnosis from his computer was that the rear right wheel speed sensor was not working, do you think this sounds correct and any idea roughly of how much i should pay for this job? cheers Jon.
ps: he tested the battery and said fine giving off 15 volts when running,

About £80 for the sensor itself and you should be able to did yourself, wheel off, one bolt to remove sensor from the hub and then swap the plugs over I the other end. You could do with somebody on her to clear the fault codes for you too make sure it doesn't cause any more bother.
If you want a a garage to do it then I suspect you'd be looking at around an hours labour to fit....
