transmission question

just a quicky really, i've been through the judder and engine revving, so had a read through forum and found the usual's...

gearbox box flush, torque convertor fubbered, dr tranny..

so the flush didn't work, so started searching for a new torque convertor..

now on the off chance as i'm very sceptical about these things but i though of what the hell due to the cost i would try the dr tranny route...low and behold the problems have all disapeared Thumbs Up

so the question is....am i going to have to change the torque convertor eventually or will the dr tranny be a perminant fix?

i'll be honest geoff, wasn't the full flush that you do, more change the filter and whatever oil there is with it.

don't suppose you come my way at anytime?

I was getting fluctuating revs on motorways. Judder on hills. (Not on flat ground). I bought 10 litres of correct atf. I personally used millermatic from amazon. Drained gear oil measuring amounts removed each time which was about 3 half 4 litres a time. I did this so I could replace exact amount back in. I flushed twice as gear oil is 9 litres 9 won't drain at once without machine. I added a dr tranny on my second flush and all problems have gone away.

I was tempted to getting a flush done from Preston when Geoff was there but I already bought oil off Amazon and so I gave It a go first. Not all my oil is changed I know that but I will get some miles covered my way for now.
