missing keys
Has anybody recently had to replace a key (cutting and coding) if so what is the cost? I have just spent 2 days looking for my keys. They have now been located but dont want to go through that again. House turned upside down. Seems my 2 year old boy has been practicing panoramic sunroof removal on his disco 3!

It was part of other work done on f355's car.
You'd be very lucky to find someone to code your key on its own for £20 but if (for example) disco_mikey was doing other stuff on your car, then these things can usually be negotiated Bodsys Brake Bible

Mikey did my key as well for me. Ordered a new key from TLO and as it was original landrover it coded in about 20 seconds. worked perfectly since.
Heard plenty Horror stories about cheap keys, for me it's not worth the hassle so bought an original one Defender 90 CSW MY06

Can the IID tool be used for configuring a new key fob
It's in the current Beta, so yes is the theory, though not tried it myself.Mark.

TLO got my key a few weeks ago - if ordered by midday he gets it the following day
Here's a snip of his message on pricing and forms required -
a new key
CWE500041SW £127.49 forum price inc vat
i need a copy of the V5 reg doc to order
Try a PM to 'ddecker' for key queries he has a business - cutting and programming keys I am sure he will know any answers to any technical questions ..... his day job is with the RAC D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.
