Pirelli Scorpion ATR to be discontinued?
I don't know if this comes as news to you, but I just contacted Micheldever Tyres to get a price on a set of ATRs for my D3, following the glowing reviews they get from several long-serving members on here.
Their reply:

Hello Mr Woolley,
I have just been told by Pirelli that they are discontinuing this tyre, however we can supply the General AT all-terrain tyre.
First withdrawn from UK supply, now discontinued for good, it seems!
Cue LT, NoDo$h, & DSL to raid the last remaining supplies from mainland Europe!

I guess that you are executing a rush based upon scare mongering (nothing personal to the OP)
I need tyres fitted by May. I am going to take my chances - theres always the Generals so no worries.
(do the ATR exist as 18" still - I may be looking 19" wheels unnecessarily)

Further clarification from Micheldever Tyres on this:

Yes Pirelli said they are stopping producing the tyre, & it's not in the latest price list.
Probably discontinued due to lack off sales due to Pirelli never having any stock?????????
No scaremongering intended, Dave! Just aware they are a well-respected tyre on here.
So, that's the end of the ATR as we know it.

ATR is still available in 255/60x18, so if you already have 18" wheels I would stick with them.

So if you have 19' whats best ??
Mainly motorway .... would love to dabble off road in future say 5 % of the time ... D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
D4 rear upgrade - Narpys helped with that bit
Flack for problem solving and D4 Bluetooth Install/ D4 Heated Steering wheel with Flappy paddles n BBS enabling kit
Disco Mikeys work - Serviced, EGR blanking and 4x4 software upgrade, 3 flash indicators.

Nothing a bit of trimming wouldn't fix, just trim off 1" round the edges.

Or glue one inch on
Spending money I haven't got has never been so much fun
I know other tyres are about on the web .... but averaging £220 a tyre ...
Reading up alot on here about 19' tyre issues for a while now ....
Economy and wear is best for me ......
Just hope those £30 ones come up again like the other day D4 Front upgrade/cut back wings n things 'taking a long time but getting there'.
