I finally stuck my disco in charge for a few days what I disnt need it over Xmas, I thought a good charge would fix the fairy random HDC fault messages on startup. Seems like all the Special programmes and the HDC work fine barring te warning. Am I right in saying that's just the battery?
If so, what's the current recommendation for sensibly priced replacements? Anything specific I should be looking for? (was thinking perhaps a Bosch s5 or s6?)

Yep goosed battery. They are just communication errors which don't get completed on start up. Get a new battery (recent ones are much stronger) and they go away. My sat nav still turns off at start up but not sure if they all do that. Bought my battery on line (think euro car parts) and with a discount code a much syronger cranking battery was circa £120 delivered James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.
