Front not rising (rear fine)

Morning,

Not sure if it was as a result of going through some water, or lowering the suspension back to normal once I had gone through it, but orange light came on with Suspension Fault message. Water by the way wasn't that deep (other cars were going through it).

Now the car rises okay at the back but only a bit at the front. I can hear the compressor working and after about a minute I get the Suspension Fault message. But sometimes I get the Suspension Rising Slowly message and then after 5 mins the Suspension Fault message. Car is booked in on the 2nd but thought would ask if anyone can think of some obvious things to check. FYI car has been losing height overnight at the front only for the last couple of months but rose okay once started. Was on the list to get looked at...

Cheers.

I had the front lowering over night and it was the height sensors. Somebody on here might know more but I would start with them first.

You need a new compressor..or if your lucky you can strip the old one and try to refurbish it.

This was my immediate thought as it's 6 years old and never been changed. But if rear is rising fine then would make me think it's more likely to be an air leak connected to the front???

The reason the rear is going up is it does not have to lift the engine, the rear will always go up first because its only lifting the body.

That and it is also part of the programmed sequence for the rear to rise first so as to not dazzle traffic should the headlights be on.
