self re-programming of third button on remote

Today, I have discovered that the third button on the remote key had reprogrammed itself to open the boot. I had it set to operate the front lights and I was able to turn them on and off earlier in the morning.

How can this have happened during the course of the day?

I am also experiencing the driver's side rear passenger door doesn't unlock with the other doors, what could be the problem there. Do I have a faulty key or a secret magician hidden away somewhere.

Any clues??

The programming is done by the "hold button and do something" method which is easy to do accidentally - especially if vehicle is being operated on other key.

Hold the LR button for 5 seconds, then do whatever activity you want the button to do. (Whilst still holding the button down) ie flash headlights or open tailgate or lower suspension button etc. Thumbs Up

When set for suspension you can go up or down depending on which buttons you press.
Brilliant for hitching up. Thumbs Up

Just tried starting up and driving round to the front door to pick me up but it doesn't seem to work. Perhaps I need to hold the putton longer than 5 seconds . . . ?

Laughing ^

My “lights“ stopped working when I pressed the logo button while the key was still in the ignition...

It is handy for switching off the fmh lights when you've got the headlights set to auto all the time...
