Looking at the list of tasks, it strikes me that a lot of that stuff has nothing to do with the Sat Nav system. I reckon most of it is LR getting its latest set of 'bug workarounds' loaded into your system on the back of you paying for a sofware internal option switch to be changed. I'm with NoDo$h on this, I'll leave it to the next service at least and hopefully negotiate a freebie while they've got the thing connected to the IDS.

Hi All

I was at Midrand with a April 2007 SE TDV6, to get this done. The followed the steps as in the LR Service Instruction No luck with a lot of help from Nico and Eugene Big Cry
The conclusion is that the patch that was posted for the 2006 D3 does not work. There have been several e-mails forwards and back to LR support UK, with the all the obvious questions “have you done this have you done that. No solution yet.

Any one done this update on a April 2007 ES with success? Big Cry Big Cry

2007s already allow on the move entry without any need for a patch in the UK. It must be a local market restriction that's preventing it - I think the US market doesn't allow it either.

....sulking:

If not, he's definitely sulking since our conversation yesterday:

"....I am gonna go and buy a T Censored cos LRSA couldn't support sh Censored !"

He agreed with me (about the support, not buying a T Censored )!
We did both calm down afterwards though, and I will go see him next week

Free is good Very Happy - so how much would 40 mins of labour cost?

Thanks for the info. Gives me some idea against what they might want to charge me.

Whilst i was at my supplying dealers yesterday getting yet another brake light bulb, i asked about the upgrade and how much it would cost (if at all).

Quite frankly i was astounded when they wouldnt budge on 1 hours labour at a cost of £161.50 Censored

When i questioned this i and pointed out that it was now on new models (mine is 1 year old now) i was told that the reason it wasnt on mine from new was that LR were making enquiries regarding its legality.

I did point out that Volvo didnt seem to have this problem 3 years earlier with the XC90 !!!!

All in all, extremely dissappointed with the Stealers attitude...........the fact that they are still after their pound of flesh long after i bought the vehicle. Big Cry
