No real surpises in the reviews though although I disagree with Autocar when they say passengers and driver will be hurled out of their seats under spirited cornering. Maybe, I just drive like a wuss but it doesn't happen with us in our MY13 My17 Volvo XC90 Inscription

Medium blue Staffie called Piglet

There should be a law against car manufactures giving such misleading and darned right dishonest MPG figures. If anyone gets 35mpg out of the car then it's been kept in the garage for the whole of its life!!
They (LR) boast how good it is off road (and it is),but if the car is used for what it is made for then the mpg figures are wrong by getting on for 10mpg!! My car averages 24.6mpg and that is not what the Lieometer says (it says 27.2). Driving on Mways all the time, maybe the economy is nearer 30 travelling at 70 and under, so why don't they make this clear?
I don't mind the fuel economy figures, otherwise I wouldn't have bought the car in the first place, but I do mind the dishonesty!!

Fuel economy figures used by all manufacturers are based on criteria laid down by the EU and that wonderful organisation in Brussels also insists that their figures are used not ones that are achievable in real life motoring.
Don't think the EU will bring in a law banning the use of it's own misleading MPG figures any time soon.
I believe there a number of websites which claim to give real world MPG figures based on user feedback.

If the 2014 disco is as good as my 2013 sport then I expect it to get 35mpg...the sport got 32-34 every day, so this one should be better!

Why does the MSN review keep going on about a "new" 8 speed auto gearbox?
Surely it's the same one as we've been using since late 2011?
