Just picked up the wifes disco 3...

Problem with the rear boot not opening on pressing the landrover button on remote fobs but that will be sorted next week under warranty but the other little niggle I have noticed is on starting and stopping the drivers seat seems to move back a notch when stopping then forward a notch when setting off again.

I wondered if this was intentional or has the seat a falult.

thanks

by the way very pleased with the car after 40 min of ownership.

The rear tailgate has to be programmed to unlatch with a press of the Land Rover button and TBH, it's a totally useless feature. Rolling Eyes
Read the handbook, it should explain all. Thumbs Up

if you add your car details to your profile ..it may help

you may have auto steering wheel controls which moves the seat back / forth each time you take the key out / in

or it could be lazy entry ...we wont know with out knowing the spec and year of your car

Many thanks wiggs.

It isn't when you take the key in and out it does it whilst driving. So every time you come to stop the seat moves back. Its as if its moving back a notch on the ratchet (if that right term) and then when you set off again it moves forward the same.

I will update profile with spec of car today and hope this may help people diagnose the prob. I'm taking it back to the dealer next week but I just wanted to go in with some knowledge of what the problem may be.

thanks again.

Thanks Wiggs, much appreciated. I will print off and take with me to suggest to the dealer that perhaps this is causing the problem.

I've updated my profile, to show its a discovery 3 2.7 TDV6 HSE, March 2009, Auto in Santorini Black Metalic. Not sure if anything else required.

First land rover we have owned so fingers crossed it doesn't cost too much going forward Very Happy

thanks again.
