Fault codes P0405 & P140A

Went to my indies yesterday and the above we're showing along with something along the lines 'low turbo pressure' now the chap I bought the car off said the egrs had been blanked but my Indy says it doesn't look like it! As it's an 05 can blank them off but he says as we currently can't delete the fault codes it may not fix the lack of low down power and general slowness, without fitting new egrs. Does anyone know any different and should a 'engine management' light be showing I my dash?? Thanks Ben

Anything per euro 4 (07 on for a disco) won't bring an engine light on for an egr fault. Best option is to blank them and be done with it, this will definitely fix the lack of power and sluggishness even though the fault codes will remain ,the low turbo pressure fault is most likely caused by a split inter cooler hose or seized actuator, plenty of threads about both on here Thumbs Up

The previous owner may have only blanked the egrs, but left the plumbing and butterfly valve in situ.

You can even blank them for the grand total of 4p if you're that way inclined, but best to buy the proper kit (4 blanks in total) and remove the pipework full of gunk... There's a guide on here somewhere... Thumbs Up
