If we are having a full-on moan I really miss the D3 TR switches.
They were tactile, could be identified by hand and grasped without looking and grouped in a handy place.
On the D4 I get a confusing array of identical buttons that next to things that look like buttons, but are not, and a toggle button that allows me to scroll through the available settings.
Quite challenging to do a range selection on the move when juggling neutral and TR settings on difficult terrain.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Actually, its a good thing you can't put your phone within easy reach, because your not supposed to touch it whilst your driving. I leave mine in my laptop bag in the boot, which is ok now the blue tooth system is so much better than it was on the 3.
However, I still need to wear sunglasses when its sunny, I still don't like driving with anything in my pocket, and I don't like sitting on my wallet in my back pocket. On my 58 plate 3, I had a pocket in the front of the drivers seat which was great for storing the wallet.
Generally, I just chuck all my bits and bobs in the door bin, but they rattle and move around in there, especially my bunch of keys.
TR controls were fine where they were on the 3, I cannot understand why they needed to be moved.

I like the nice modern tactile buttons, but on the other hand, I did like the the knobs and levers of old.

From the days when:
1. Someone at LR at Land Rover understood ergonomics
2. Could count to 5
3. Had access to a ruler
The new order where:
1. Someone at LR at Land Rover only understands economics
2. Can only count 4 TR modes, oh and that other one
3. Has no access to a ruler

Could it get worse:
Well I think we are totally:

Stop it ....Stop it .. being the owner of a MY10 I still have the pleasure of a good knob
Now looks like I will never be able to upgrade for fear of losing it
That picture of the D3 controls just brings back so many memories of controls you could reach easily without having to lean forward
As for the storage ..another vote for D3 here too Cheers Ian
