Where did you put the antenna, I bought one, it works if it is stuck on the roof with the cable through the window as a test, but I can't seem to find a reasonably easy placement, any help would be gratefully recieved.

The factory is under the 3rd brake light I believe

So you could stick it there if you can remake the cable joint.

Or maybe stick it on top of the dash on the passenger side. Best teat that location first

I have tried it on the dash, which I would have expected to work ok, but no, the only place I have found it works OK is attached to the roof just above the door opening out of the rear window, I then had a clear signal again and accurate sat nav.

I don't use the sat nav, but I hate things not working. Very Happy

I am beginning to think that the cheap GPS Antennas are not much cop as my phone, even an old TomTom would work inside the car.

Great thank you, I have ordered one via your link. Did you place it by the passenger side a piller, or further near the middle? Do you have a photo of its location?

many thanks

Just went out again and tested it, on the dash, nothing, outside fully working, I wonder if the heated windscreen is stopping the signal, does your D3 have a heated windscreen?

Yes, I did find that if it was too close to the pillar it wouldn't work...

Thank you, I think maybe the antenna I have is a bit rubbish, I will wait for the other one to come. Thumbs Up
