Best winter tyres?
Sorry if this has been done to death already, but is there a general consensus on the best winter tyres for 19" wheels? I have a V8 HSE D3. UK winter, nothing too extreme

happy with Hankook I*cept Evo W310 on my 18s. Drives up and out of my untreated private road without the need for elbow grease to clear it........mind you I did need LO when it dumped a foot of the white stuff a year or so back.Discovery 3 Manual as PDF | Blackvue 500 | BAS Remap | Mates did South America in a Landie

Vredestiens....
I'm on my second set....briliant
They are long life (at least 35k) & good for road holding & stopping quickly...no drama's
Mine stay on all year...good for wet weather & off road...+ they are quiet
I have used this make for over 30 years (M&S Tyres on Volvos)...never a problem
Also got them on my Freelander....
Considering Vredestien Sessantas (High performance) for my XK Jag to replace the pathertic PirrellisBREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.

Well I have them too:

For price vs performance I think they are very good, but I would not say they were the best out there. If you are prepared to pay more you can get better winter rubber than the Wintracs.
