Hmmm... I still don't know what to do!
Think I'll flip a coin. Then again, £1500 is highly appealing, and I just want to "move in" to my new car & start modding & mudding it!
Cool box + PTI cradle is definitely possible, 'cos I've got both
Cool box CAN be retro fitted, parts cost about £165 IIRC - I asked Nick today, just in case I went for the 07.

I seem to remember that LR changed the standard items during the year for the 06 SE but cant remember if the fridge was standard at the beginning or end of the 06 MY.1996 Discovery 1 300TDI ES Biarritz Blue, sold

I'll dig the spec out, (see you next week sometime!) but from memory 06 SE (from June 2005) standard pack was something like; Xenons, bright pack, heated F+R seats and screen, high line (not LGK7) stereo, frony PDC, space saver etc
i optioned;
full size spare
fridge
Logic 7
Enhanced sat nav
etc
etc
forgot about the rear diff! and theeeeennn......???

06 SE Changes....Didn't they just.
"cubby box, front PDC, roof rails, mudflaps" were all included according to pre sale speak from my dealer.
collected my car 1 month after the conversation and I got none of these
Dealer was honestly not aware but did get Bi-xenons and something else that I cannot for the life of me remember at no cost.
I registered my confusion but drove the beast away anyway , lifes too short. In the long run I haven't lost anything

I beg to differ ..i spent about 3 months having discussions with various dealers about whether a cool box was standard on the 06MY SE. At the time LR website said it was an extra..but all other websites stated it was included.Even though it was in the price list as standard.
It took a trip to the dealers again and that time they looked at a SE they had in the showroom and confirmed it DID come with a cool box.
Same problem with front PDC ..LR web site said option ..price list said standard..every other web site standard.
I got a 2006 SE with both of the above ..and if they wern't there after all my checking ..i would of insisted that they were fitted or reject the car.

CrazyDave, now you've said it you are correct, I think there were two 06 specs, pre and post June, something to with the factory shutdown or rain coming from the East or ....and theeeeennn......???

All of this kind of explains why I don't know whether I want the 07 MY or the 06 .... It's incredibly unclear exactly what the full spec is!
Back to (part) of my original question - does anyone know when 08 MY cars start being built & what the changes are?? does it have a fidge or xenons or feck all if the current trend continues
