Thule EuroClassic Bike Racks |
|
Right I have a Leicester based dealer who is willing to talk about additional discount levels once I can give him some numbers. The shops retail on this is £235.00 which is already competetive.
I can't negotiate until I have numbers, so the sign up is for interest only and does not commit you to buy. However if you sign up and then only half of us order you ruin it for everyone . . .
So express an interest in either the three bike system (above left) or the 3 bike + 4th bike system (above right). Sign-up Open for 7 days, closes on the 10th of April. (4th Bike bit retails at £45.00).
Shipping is currently £6.95 for the rack

Once you have numbers, Can you see if they will do a price on the 7-13 pin adaptor too? Oh and while you're at it, do they fancy chucking in a Thule BackupBox and coming round to do the ironing every Tuesday? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I've tried looking in the catalogue to see how these attach to the car and all I get told is the 'Thule patented coupling system' which could be a sex aid for all I know! Do these carriers clamp onto the towball or do they fit into slots on a bolt on thinngy for the variable height towbar? Or is it possible to use either mount with this rack.
Had you thought about the 'Easy Base' plus bike bit as an alternative for the group buy - might get a wider range of (more unfit) punters!
Also, as the summer seems to be here, I'm hoping that this will be happening soonish as I need the carry rack by early May if poss.

Bodsy - cancel your interest and re-sign, I've changed the sign up to reflect 3 or 4 bikes - got the hang of it now. Confused - you will be !! "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Fitting instructions (in the form of a .pdf file) can be found here:

The group buy is just too late for me unfortunately, I'm collecting my 903 tomorrow morning - I intend to use it this weekend.
Good luck!

Thanks for posting the fitting instructions John O. I'd prefer to get one that slots in rather than one that clamps on - I see from the instructions that you are supposed to employ a bodybuilder every time you tighten the rack to the ball!
Anyone know of a frame type carrier like this but that slots into a mounting plate?

90 - I only need the 4th bike adaptor - not the whole thing - sorry I didn't read the sign up options properly. Some say the glass is half full. Others that it is half empty. I say 'Are you drinking that?"

Update.
I am in discussions. Just waiting on a final confirmation of a few small details about postage and publicity of the price or not. I'm happy with the price, so hopefully so will everyone else be . . . . "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

Got my rack as 'cheap n cheerful', cost a couple of quid, been using it for years [adapts to all vehicles] AND no light bar is needed AND I can tow with it [pics in gallery]. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
