I've been camping since I was a nipper, and I've amassed a dozen tents or more. None are fit for purpose obviously so I now "need" another one.... A tent, that is. Not a trailer tent or rooftop or howling moon type. Love 'em but not what we want.
Key features we need:
1. Two separate pods each large enough to sleep two adults
2. Separate "Living" area tall enough to stand up in (I'm 5'10")
3. Easy to erect in the dark preferably after several pints of beer and with no helpers
4. None of those bendy jointed fibreglass poles with elastic
5. Weighs less than a small car
6. Costs less than a range rover
Which one? They've all got whippy poles on the website....?____

Kampa inflatable tents. From someone who doesn't sell them, yet. No poles to break. Just arrive on site and get pumping! Rich

I was thinking that! Or if you can accept metal legs with a fibreglass arc over the top, a Kampa Frinton 4 classic has two bedrooms, standup living area and is made of poly cotton like the oz tents so doesn't keep you awake sounding like a carrier bag if there's a bit of wind. Some good deals to be had on those.
As for putting it up in the dark, you obviously need more lights on your disco!

I recommend a bell tent from Soulpad. Can be put up by one person in 15 mins. Very spacious and much more durable than these modern nylon tents. The only downside is that they are a bit heavy! But in return you have a tent that will last forever and can withstand bad weather.
I've got a bell tent (albeit not a soulpad). It's great, but only has one sleeping area; I've had a look on the soulpad website and even their largest one seems to be the same unless you buy the separated inner, which gives you two very small adjacent sleeping areas.____

We have a TROUT LAKE from OUTWELL made of polycotton and "NOT" Nylon! Buy nylon at your pearl Says it sleeps 4 but we have it for the both of us and it's just enough room for everything, including standing up
Easy to put up as it has hard alloy poles instead of the bendy things and has never let us down in bad weather ever
Down side?
I suppose you could say it's a bit bulky but then again not for a land rover. Heavy? again not really seeing as it's polycotton and has alloy poles.
Up side?
Great for a base camp when away for a few days, doesn't leak, warm in the winter and you can add an extension on to it depending on what your plans are. You wouldn't want to be using it for a one night stop over as it would be too much of a hassle that's why we use the Igloo tent for short overnight stops when on a big trip
Thanks for that, really helpful. Good tip for polycotton.
Looking at it online that looks promising but a bit small; there are larger models that may well fit the bill.
Bulk and weight not a big issue.____

+1 for Outwell. Very well constructed. They may be a bit more than others but it will last. If there are any tent shows near you get there early on the 1st day and buy the demo model.
