Have you updated your booking with the advanced passanger info? Will be interested to see how you get on as going over in just over 2 weeks.
Saturday is the start of half term so I have already had the Eurotunnel email about it being busy
Also the first time taking the caravan abroad so hoping not to crash it into the train when boarding !D4 2010 HSE Santorini Black

I was on it a week or so ago, they were checking everybody. They had almost all the booths open, so it took no longer than normal to be honest. I missed my train, but got on the next one no problem. Not sure it is that easy with a caravan.

I assume they are swiping passports as part of the check in or is it after the terminal? If former I suppose that means no more self checkin.
Russell I do hope the caravan follows me down the carriage - done it many times with the car covered in bikes (top and rear)
I presumed the check was going to be at or after the customs check ?D4 2010 HSE Santorini Black

Why there is plenty of room even with a large twin axle to swing in just take your time and drive slowly through the train. Whe you get towards the front hold back to ensure they realise you have caravan in tow and to check there is plenty of room to get you in the carriage, not good when the loaders say yes we will get you into the carriage and in actual fact you do not fit, they then have to back everyone up.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

You will be fine! Remember to go to the tall Vehicle section! The good thing is you are virtually first on, so First off!
Don't forget that when you get to the other side they drive on the wrong side! Also don't forget GB Sticker and Breathalizers and at least have the headlight stickers with you!
Have fun!Black D4 December 2014

I meant not sure if it is as easy to find a space if you miss your booked train when it's busy. The physical bit of getting on is easy enough, if they have space.

I thought the breathalizer thing had been scrapped a while ago ?. At least the fine being imposed was postponed indefinitely.
You need to be careful not to have a GPS with speed camera warnings or at least have them switched off

We missed our train despite checking in on time coming home last year with the caravan, the delay was due to the French checking everybody's passport
We weren't delayed any further by having the caravan, once we cleared passport control it was straight onto the next train......no real issue as everybody was missing their planned crossings due to the checks
Crossing this Friday evening without caravan so will let you know how we get on

Hi viz is one per person in the car, and stored so you can put them on before stepping out.
