My brothers just bought a blow up Outwell tent, and its porch area
I'm quite liking the inflatable ones, be interesting to hear how he gets on.
Pallet According to the website the largest inflatable weighs 50kg, still pretty considerable but more manageable (*unless you're backpacking of course)____

He has been away with it about three times, once when I was there and watched him put it up, peg out each corner and pump till the gauge gets too a set psi, close valve and then on to next section
The inflated tubes are rock solid and in a slight breeze it was near still compared to the nylon one next door flapping about
The guy were he bought it from told him about the pallet for the xl one and a few people have ordered them and reordered the smaller sizes as its huge
His has beds, living space, then with the optional porch a second area from memory were he keeps the fridge and kitchen stuff

I've got a Vango Calisto 500 - first outing last weekend withstood a bit of a gale on Sunday morning with no issues - proper steel poles not bendy fibre.
Got a separate porch for it too to create a second 3m x 2m living area in front of the main 3m x 2m
Does the job for me but sounds like you need the 600 model
If you want bigger, Andy Methley's Outwell Bear Lake 6 is excellent!Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Outwell Montana Lake - Polycotton. I've had a good few tents over the last 30 years, and IMHO you will never beat this if you want a solid (not literally) quality tent. Quite heavy and bulky though, but then again so is a Discovery 3.
Maybe take a trip out to a camping show next weekend or two____

We've got a Quechua 4.1 Second tent and whilst I know you said no whippy poles I can have this thing up or down in a fraction of the time that anyone else in the party can do theirs.
It took a couple of painful attempts to work out how it folds down but now I know it is dead easy.
It was also £99 in the sale at Decathlon 4 person sleeping area with a small living/storage area
There's a 6 man one on there right now for £149

Got an Outwell Montana 6 - old school version (steel poles - had it for a few years now) - excellent tent of a family of five & a daft King Charles spaniel - can stand up in all of it. Fits in the back of the D3 with all the essentials we need for a weekend away - cooker, gas bottle, fridge, toilet, sleeping bags, air beds, scooters . . . . . . . .
Love the feeling of space & having the fitted carpet makes it feel much more civilised.
Having the steel poles does mean it takes two adults to put up, my 9-yr old lad was more than willing on the last trip, but just wasn't tall enough yet to hold the poles up in place while we pegged out.
That said have just got a Bailey twin axle tin tent & that's different again
Hi Landie, how long does it realistically take to put up?____

It's not a complicated tent to put up, just four identical sets of poles threaded through sleeves in the roof section & pins (from the straps that run under the floor) go up into the ends of the poles, then loads of guy lines to make it stay up. All-in-all it takes about 45mins for two adults to put it up & get it pegged down & tensioned properly.
There's a few YouTube video's on how to put them up
Cheers

I have a Vango Airbeam 400.
Bought it as my wife doesn't come to all LR events but we do go camping together so it had to be big enough for both of us but easy enough for me to put up by myself.
A few pumps on each 'rib' and its up, never had something so easy to pitch
Only downside is they're not cheap Nick
2010 D4 ....... now gone and replaced with a 05RRV Autobiography
Not feeling any love for OzTents here. Love them - they feel like they're made of bricks and mortar once up - and yes, you can have it up and the corners pegged in under a minute, all guys pegged in a further 2.
Once you start adding awning side panels it adds another 10 minutes but you can do that at your leisure once the main accommodation is up and it's not necessary in many instances.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
RRR207, thanks - another air tent recommendation, I'm not so terribly worried about the cost although that is a factor. Have you had any problems with the air tubes?
NoDo$h, Oztent certainly wins the speed debate but as far as I can see from their website and the videos is way too small for what I need - is there a large "family" model?____

An Oztent RV5, with a tag along RV5 for the 2nd sleeping area, is plenty big enough for 4/5 people. The area in between the two sleeping areas for cooking and relaxing etc is ample, they go up in 30 seconds or less for the main RV5, made of rip stop canvas, can be easily erected by one person. good weather protection too.
There was a family of 6 in an RV5 with a RV5 Tag along at Billing......they seemed comfortable enough
