Strength of Tailgate as a seat.
My son correctly observed that the entire weight of the tailgate (and anyone sitting on it) is taken by the cables(what would have been chains on the Series III). I must admit I had thought it was resting on the bumper.
What's the general view about using this as a seat?
never had a problem - even with two people sitting on it The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
