cars get bumped in transit and are touched up at dealers
many moons ago a friend of mine was working on a car line (nissan) and crashed it into the back of another he said they have a team of peeps to fix these issues.
no biggy It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.

I know a film crew who was doing a story for the news about people picking up their new cars on the day the reg changes. In the evening they dropped a light on the bonnet of a new Ford that the owner was due to pick up at midnight. Luckily it was too dark for him to notice that his new car was still wet !!!
None the wiser…

cheers chaps the dealer suggests all the disco,s have this over spray behind the towing flap. Just washed it today and it gets worse speckles of white on the tail light lower tailgate and the body work under the light black showing through on the rear bumper.
not good looks like i maybe kicking some ass this week

That's not acceptable, if it gets bumped then fine it would be sorted pre-delivery but overspray visible on the lights etc is disgraceful and suggests a 'quick fix' smart repair perhaps 2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

I've got a white MY2012 D4 and I had to pull off the tow cover to attach a strop this afternoon. This was the first time I'd looked under there. Had a good nose around and I can't see any signs of any overspray - so they're not all like it! I'd go and have a gentle discussion with them. Or failing that, vomit on the salesman's desk tell him that all desks are like it.

Took a look behind the flap on my white one, and can't see any overspray - so that's another one that isn't like it!

Hope you've taken pictures of the oversprayed areas and scratches on the chassis rails.
You never know if/when you may need them.
btw, No overspray on my Fuji ......
... but just might be after it comes back from the bodyshop later this week.
The magnifying glass will be getting dusted off in the meantime. ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

Gavin Shorters - aka TopGun paint reapirs is always very very busy doing the touch ups on new cars
usually these are indiscernable. BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
