I have just wandered back through this thread and winger thought he had nearly got an answer. My question still is why have LR chosen not to activate it like the RR. My answer is still the same, the fuel tank is the wrong sahpe and the bucket they had to build in is not big enough to run the heater adhoc. My old RR it worked fine, but it did not have two fuel sensors like the D3 because the tank was almost rectangular as a 4x4 should be. The D3 is coffin shaped

Just got my disco 3 from new, a 2006 model. There is no option in the settings menu for either the pre cooling or pre heating.Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE
