OK I give in... New D4 on order! |
|
Its amazing what a bit of snow does. It makes you appreciate how good a car the Discovery is. I have been swaying back and forth in the decision about what to do with my D3. I know I have just spent ££££ on it, but it is now at its best and therefore quite saleable.
I had been looking to leave the Discovery brand, and spend less than a new D4 on a second hand sports car, in particular an Aston Martin Vantage. But having looked at one, I was left quite unimpressed. It sounded fabulous, and drove like a sports car should, but it was not going to be a practical car, they are toys to be kept wrapped in cotton wool in the garage. The decider was the simple fact that my golf clubs would not fit in the boot.
So, paid a visit to Guy Salmon along with my wife, who really really liked the new Range Rover, and the Evoque too. Having explained that the Rangey was a little pricey, and the Evoque was not big enough, we agreed that there really is no other choice but to get another Discovery.
So Discovery 4 HSE Luxury, Fuji White (Wendys choice not mine) Ebony leather with Piano black inserts, Black Design pack with 20" wheels, Vision Assist pack, Remote park heater etc etc. The only thing I have not opted for is the rear locking diff.
A good discount given too. Delivery end of March.

Excellent choice Gareth, even with the 'black pack' and the 20" wheels.
Now need to get you converted to the LTZ's.

My D3's fate is yet to be decided.
I am driving it to the Alps for a ski holiday in 2 weeks, so once I get back I will decide what to do with it.
