LR Discovery 5 / my2018 video
Came across this video of a camouflaged LR Discovery 5. Taken in the Nurburgring region. Good to see there is full spare wheel that's what I miss on a 7-seater RRS. Whether it is indeed a V6 as the link states I cannot confirm.
Enjoy!D5 HSE TDV6 (gone but not forgotten)

Hard to tell for sure, but it's certainly lost the brilliantly useful asymmetric design 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Agree, impossible to tell for sure. If I was forced to bet, I'd go for one piece though. I really hope that I'm wrong.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Looks big and like it has a bit of road presence. Surprised its not got a totally Digital dash for off road displays and tech etc expecting that but could see physical binnacles Tailgate still a mystery I'm now thinking automatic one piece maybe with pop up glass and then a fancy pull out platform.MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

Having spent some time studying a freeze frame of the tailgate and comparing it to the Vision Concept, I'm going to say it's got a one piece tailgate 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

It looks taller than in previous videos I've seen, either that or the bloke filling it with fuel is fairly short. It was a bit intrusive though, but I'm sure they are trained to expect it.
Still happy to have a D4 on its way. If the D5 is unexpectedly ace then I have a trade in option in a few years once production has caught up with demand.

The high brake light looks to be on what I thought was part of the camouflage. Not so sure of that if it is part of the car it would be wasted effort. Now, if the glass was part of it to give it a more slab back i'd like it but the glass its clearly set well into it. could be a fake light i guess MY06 S - Gone but not forgotten

I have a friend who does work for JLR and has seen the new D5, the tailgate is one piece
He wasn't 100% sure if there is a pull out platform or not as they didn't see this demonstrated.

On all vehicles? No option?
I was actually just looking at the screenshot RDR posted thinking there was a possible split line below the numberplate.Current: Discovery 3 06MY (55 reg) HSE Auto Zambezi Silver Allisport Fast Road Intercooler, V8 Brakes, Silicone IC Hoses, EGRs Blanked, Remapped, De-Cat pipe, FBHIC
