Remember they need purging of air before use as when laid flat in storage or transit they can draw in air.
Stand the unit upright for 10 minutes. Open the valve and then pump the lever with your hand for 10 to 20 cycles. Tighten the valve and check for good extension and no squashiness; if still squishy undo the valve and repeat.
Once purged of air, valve closed and stored upright they do not need purging again.
