I don't need to clean my radiator grill Very Happy

Put aluminium flyscreen mesh on the ARB Bar and held it down with aluminium flat bar and angles:

Attached fibreglass flyscreen mesh to the grill with self adhesive velcro:

Tip: The self adhesive tends to melt when the heat gets to it hold well enough on Grill but needs some construction adhesive to hold the flyscreen to it.

Even after dirty w/e no crud in the radiator fins: Very Happy

This is particularly good for those in hotter climes where insect ingestion is a problem.

Not being funny, caverD3, but does the flyscreen restrict the cooling airflow at all? ie, does temp gauge show it runs any hotter with it fitted. Just wondered thats all, I don't blame you, trying to avoid getting intrcooler and rad full of flies etc. Wink

If you screen out the flys and grass etc out first they don't clog the fins of the radiator intercooler etc which can cause overheating. It keeps the fins which are very thin aluminium free from damage as well. If the space between the fins becomes clogged no air will get through. Shocked
So keeping out crud will keep the engine cool.
If the screens do get clogged they are easy to wipe clean, not so the radiator.
Works treat for me no problem with air flow at all. Very Happy
