Nice mod! Been thinking about doing this for ages. It makes it easier now that someone else has gotten it right
Another one that bothers me is that the cruise control light on the D3 dash is amber, and on my FFRR it is green. So I want to swop that to a green LED as well.

There is actually a serious benefit to me to have a light on the dash when my lights are on Auto. I take the car to Spain for about a month a year and it is a legal requirement to have your lights on in a tunnel. The light coming on on the dash confirms I am not breaking the law.
I know its a bit but it suits me.D3 HSE ........................Gone!!!

Did pop in to see the printer in the same building I've got my office in & apparently they can print onto a clear self adhesive sheet. The owner wasn't in, only the lads that do the printing so they couldn't give me a cost. I'll pop in again next week & see what we can come up with.

I'm also planning on doing the three flash upgrade and clock on dash. Having seen the mention of the red FBH then acting as a lights on indicator (which I didn't realise) I have a question for anyone in the know. As I have the V8 D3 and no FBH will there be any led red or otherwise to be affected?
Standard instrument pack I would think, so if yours is an early one without out the lights on light now, I'd expect it to be a red FBH light if you flash the ipack Altox GSM FBH controller thread

Actually taking the instrument pack out is quite easy & opening up isn't difficult either so you could take the hold the front bit up to the light to see what symbol is in there. If it's a FBH symbol I'd guess you've got a red LED, if you've got a lights-on symbol I'd guess you've got a green LED.

If you have managed to acquire a later instrument pack with the green lights on already fitted is it possible to simply swap the whole pack out and have someone reprogram the mileage to match that of the removed cluster?

Not that simple I'm afraid, the Ipack also contains the VIN along with the other ECU's, so if it's swapped from a different car the numbers wont match and the car wont start.Clive
